SDCC: First Wonder Woman Trailer Premieres

Wonder Woman

Locate your Lasso of Truth because this is no lie–the Wonder Woman trailer is epic!

Warner Bros. debuted the first trailer for its upcoming Wonder Woman film at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2016. Gal Gadot first wowed us as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and this trailer amps up the momentum.  Bruce Wayne’s (Ben Affleck) dossier on Diana Prince in BvS featured a World War II photo of of Wonder Woman standing among allied soldiers. The SDCC trailer takes fans on a deep dive into that era of Wonder Woman’s life.

We are introduced to Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor and the relationship that develops between him and Wonder Woman as she kicks Nazi ass across Europe.

We learn that Wonder Woman has no father, because she was created by Zeus.  We catch glimpses of the island Themyscira as her mother, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), warns her that the world does not deserve her.

Warner Bros. delivered a five-star trailer, but I must admit my favorite scene was the final scene.  Etta Candy (Lucy Davis) introducing herself as Trevor’s secretary and Diana’s response just left me smiling.
