Netflix premiered Luke Cage at 12:01 A.M. on Friday, September 30 for sleep deprived fans salivating with anticipation of Marvel’s newest series.
Starring The Good Wife alum Mike Colter as Cage, the series is adapted from the 1972 comic Luke Cage, Hero for Hire. Cage was first introduced as a love interest for Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) in Marvel’s second Netflix drama by the same name.
Simone Missick portrays Harlem Detective Misty Knight, who solves murders on the streets with her partner Detective Scarfe (Frank Whaley). Daredevil and Jessica Jones star Rosario Dawson reprises her role as nurse Claire Temple.
Mahershala Ali and Alfre Woodard portray criminal cousins Cornell ‘Cottonmouth’ Stokes and Mariah Dillard. Theo Rossi portrays Shades.
