No. 17: Ironheart (Riri Williams) – Marvel Comics

Riri is a child prodigy who was attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) by the age of fifteen (Invincible Iron Man #7 September 2016). She built her own version of an Iron Man exoskeleton which captured the interest of Tony Stark. Stark also encourage Riri’s interest in being a super heroine. Riri would also participate in the second superhero Civil War fighting on Iron Man’s side; Stark became comatose at the conclusion of the event. After Civil War II, Riri decided to continue the Iron Man legacy by building her own suit with help of an A.I. version of Tony Stark. Riri became of the star of Invincible Iron Man with issue #1 (cover date 2017) when the book relaunched in late 2016; she goes by the moniker Ironheart.

Powers: Genius inventor and engineer, wears a customized Iron Man suit that was based on Tony Stark’s designs.
