Amazon Unveils The Expanse Season 4 Trailer; Renews Show for Fifth Season (VIDEO)

The Expanse Season 4 premieres December 13 with “New Terra”

It looks like The Expanse’s episode count is, well, expanding. According to Variety, Amazon announced at the Television Critics Association over the weekend that it has renewed the sci-fi drama for a fifth season.

Amazon saved The Expanse after it was cancelled by Syfy and it’s upcoming fourth season is set to premiere on December 13.

The Expanse stars Steven Strait, Cas Anvar, Dominique Tipper, Wes Chatham, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Frankie Adams and Thomas Jane.

My quick take on the trailer: First, the Torchwood fan in me loved seeing Burn Gorman. The Expanse’s action and drama have intensified since moving to Amazon. I got chills watching. And to quote my favorite The Expanse character, Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo), in the trailer: “What the fuck is going on down there!”
