A number of familiar faces are set to star in the indie sci-fi thriller No Running, according to Deadline. Shane West, Taryn Manning, Rutina Wesley, Skylan Brooks and Hart Denton have signed on to the project written by Tucker Morgan and directed by Delmar Washington.
The film “follows a young black teen who is wrongfully blamed for the mysterious disappearance of his biracial girlfriend. With only 48 hours to prove his innocence, he must flee the law as he uncovers supernatural abductions that have plagued the community for decades.”
Shane West is starred on The CW’s Nikita before spending three seasons on the WGN’s Salem. He recently appeared in the final season of Gotham as Batman villain Bane.
Taryn Manning may be best known for her portrayal of Tiffany ‘Pennsatucky’ Doggett on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black. She has also appeared on FX’s Son’s of Anarchy and the CBS drama Hawaii Five-0.
Rutina Wesley rocketed into viewers consciousness as Tara Thornton on HBO’s True Blood and appeared on NBC’s Hannibal. She currently stars on OWN’s Queen Sugar as Nova Bordelon.
Skylan Brooks has appeared on Fox’s Empire and Netflix’s The Get Down.
Hart Denton portrays Riverdale’s creepy character Chic and appears in 13 Reasons Why on Netflix.
