The Walking Dead is getting another spinoff and this one will feature Julia Ormond as Elizabeth, a “charismatic leader of a large, sophisticated and formidable force.”
According to the AMC channel, The Walking Dead: World Beyond focuses on “first generation raised in the zombie apocalypse. Some will become heroes, some will become villains, but in the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.”
The cable channel released a trailer featuring Ormond’s Elizabeth and its other stars Natalie Gold as Lyla, Al Calderon as Barca and Scott Adsit as Tony. It also features young talent, including: Ted Sutherland, Aliyah Royal, Annet Mahendru and Nico Tortorella.
Ormond may be best known for portraying Sabrina Fairchild in Sabrina opposite of Harrison Ford. She has appeared in a string of TV series such as Nurse Jackie, CSI: NY and Mad Men.
Natalie Gold appeared on Guiding Light between 2007-2008, AMC’s Rubicon in 2010 and most recently in Succession as Rava Roy.
Scott Adsit has an extensive resume that spans everything from Robot Chicken to VEEP.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond will premiere in the spring of 2020.
