Are you one of those viewers who hates to try a new show because you fear it will be cancelled before the first season wraps? Then you can breathe easy about The Witcher at Netflix.
According to The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich, the fantasy series, based on the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, has been picked up for a second season by Netflix. She shared the news with expectant fans on Twitter. The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Freya Allan as Ciri.
The Witcher’s final trailer made quite a “splash” in late October when it included a nod to The Witcher video game and featured Cavill’s Geralt shirtless in a washtub. In fifteen days, the trailer has already garnered over 12 million views and you can watch it for yourself below!
The Witcher drops on Netflix on December 20.
I’m so thrilled to announce: Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri will be back for more adventures… in Season Two.
