This year delivered so much great geek TV and we’re be looking back at the best and worst of it in late December with our Best and Worst of 2019 podcast. Until then, we want to take a moment to reflect on the Top 5 Things We’re Thankful for (Right Now) in Geek TV.
No. 5: Crisis on Infinite Earths Crossover, The CW
It hasn’t even aired yet, but The CW’s annual DC crossover event is something to be thankful for. This year’s crossover–Crisis on Infinite Earths–has given new urgency to Arrow and The Flash. It has also provided both shows an umbrella arc that too often in previous seasons gets lost in their episodic natures. It is also the catalyst for multi-episode returns of former cast members and cameos by a host of actors and characters from previous DC Comics based TV shows.
There have been countless photo and video teasers and we can’t wait to see how Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), Batwoman (Ruby Rose) and the Legends play a role in Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Equally important is the fact that Crisis on Infinite Earths will bring Black Lightning (Cress Williams) into the annual crossover. Now that is something to be truly thankful for.
