Peter Sarsgaard Cast in The Batman

The Killing (2013) and The Looming Tower (2018) alum Peter Sarsgaard is the latest actor to join The Batman reports Deadline. The film is a joint venture by Warner Bros and DC Comics to create another incarnation of Gotham’s resident vigilante. The story will focus on a younger Bruce Wayne, and his life leading up to his transformation into Batman.

The Batman Director, Matt Reeves, announced the casting on his Official Twitter page. Sarsgaard’s role is being kept under wraps for the moment. The actor is accompanied by a star studded cast of Robert Pattinson as The Batman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, and Colin Ferrell as The Penguin.

The Batman is still in the pre-production phase with a possible 2021 release.
