Ring in 2020 with Doctor Who! (Trailer)

Worried about a hangover New Year’s Day. Don’t fret the Doctor will be available to cure your ails starting Wednesday, January 1 at 8 PM EST on BBC AMERICA. Series 12 of Doctor Who kicks-off with part 1 of a new story arc entitled Spyfall, scripted by the current head writer Chris Chibnall. Part 2 will air in the show’s regular timeslot – Sundays at 8 PM EST starting January 5.

Jodie Whitaker returns in her second outing as the Thirteenth Doctor. Rejoining the Doctor for further adventures on-board the TARDIS will be companions Graham O’Brien (Bradley Walsh), Ryan Sinclair (Tosin Cole), and Yasmin Khan (Mandip Gill). Confirmed Series 12 guest stars include Stephen Fry (A Bit of Fry and Laurie), Sir Lenny Henry CBE (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), Goran Višnjić (Timeless – a favorite of GC’s podcasters) and Robert Glenister (Law and Order: UK).

Prior to the premiere of Series 12, BBC AMERICA will be showing previous series and specials featuring Doctors 9 – 13 (Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and Jodie Whittaker) starting Tuesday, December 24. The network will also debut The Macra Terror, a special animated lost arc from the Patrick Troughton (Second Doctor) era, on Thursday, December 26 at 9 PM EST.
