Wakanda Removed From USDA Website

Your eyes aren’t deceiving you! For about 6 months, Wakanda was listed as a Free Trade Partner on the Official USDA website reports Variety. This awesome nod to Marvel’s uber hit Black Panther was discovered by Twitter User Francis Tseng.

Wakanda was soon removed from the list after Tseng’s tweet began to go viral.

The USDA later cleared up the fictional Country appearing on the list in an official statement. “The Foreign Agricultural Service staff who maintain the Tariff Tracker have been using test files to ensure that the system is running properly. The Wakanda information should have been removed after testing and has now been taken down.”

The USDA even tweeted about the Wakanda’s incident. Turn out, they are true allies of the country!
