Conversion therapy is a real threat to youth growing up in extremely religious families. Now, author Adam Sass has penned a new YA adventure thriller, Surrender Your Sons, that takes on the trauma teens face.
Sass revealed the cover and an excerpt from Surrender Your Sons to Teen Vogue. He told the magazine,
“The place felt so impossible that it could even exist, and I wanted to see these kids not only escape but bring the whole place down,” Adam tells Teen Vogue. “I loved the idea of a group of desperate kids having no choice but to rely on each other, despite their differences.”

At Nightlight, everyone has something to hide from the campers to the “converted” staff and cagey camp director, and it quickly becomes clear that no one is safe.
