Amazon’s Lord Of The Rings Cast Revealed

Fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic Lord of the Rings universe are one step closer to seeing a streaming series and USA Toda a breakdown and photos.

Former Game of Thrones star Robert Aramayo and His Dark Material’s Morfydd Clark recently joined the expanding cast. .

Joining Aramayo and Clark on this fellowship are Owain Arthur (British hospital drama Casualty), Nazanin Boniadi (Counterpart), Tom Budge (The Pacific), Ismael Cruz Córdova (The Mandalorian), Ema Horvath (Like.Share.Follow.), Markella Kavenagh (Picnic at Hanging Rock), Joseph Mawle (Benjen Stark, Game of Thrones), Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete (Royal Shakespeare Company’s stage production of Vice Versa), Megan Richards (Wanderlust), Dylan Smith (I Am The Night), Charlie Vickers (Netflix historical drama Medici), and Daniel Weyman (Gentleman Jack).

In addition to reporting on casting news for Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series, USA Today reported the passing of Christopher Tolkien at the age of 95. Christopher, J.R.R. Tolkien’s youngest son, was a World War II veteran and scholar of Middle-earth. He assumed stewardship of his father’s literary estate after the novelist passed in 1973. Franchise fans credit Tolkien for the release of The Silmarillion and The Fall of Gondolin, two of his father’s unpublished works.
