Damon Gupton OUT at Black Lightning!

The city of Freeland is going to be missing one of its key players next season. Damon Gupton who portrays Chief Bill Henderson is officially exiting The CW’s Black Lightning!

The actor announced his exit on his official Twitter page. Apparently, he was informed in December his character would no longer be needed in Season 4. Gupton has been a series regular since the shows inception.

This is an interesting turn of events since Chief Henderson is an integral part of the major story on Black Lightning. No doubt his characters future has been affected by the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

No word on how Gupton will leave the series, but it might not bode well for his alter ego.
