Following the release of Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’s newest movie trailer, DC Comics has posted preview artwork from their upcoming Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey series on Twitter. Issue one of this 4-part (self-contained) story is scheduled to be released on February 12th.

Husband and wife duo of Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner are writing the mini-series; Amanda is also providing the penciled and inked artwork. The pair have a lengthy relationship with the comic version of Harley. They contributed to numerous Harley Quinn related ongoing, mini-series and one-shots published between 2013 – 2018. The Conner/Palmiotti tenure influenced the version of Harley Quinn currently being portrayed on DC’s animated streaming service.

Based the artwork for characters like Cassandra Cain, this series appears to be heavily influenced by the film. According to solicitation text released the Joker and Harley are over, but the Clown Prince of Crime has placed a bounty on her head. Only the Birds of Prey can come to Harley’s aid. Additional information about the comic can be found at Previews World.

Excited about this series, be sure to pre-order Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey through your local comic shop or online via Comixology.
