Let’s get down to business! Disney has released 6 new character artwork posters for the upcoming release of Mulan (2020).
The media conglomerate took a modern approach and dropped the artwork on the movie’s official Twitter page. Yifei Liu, Donnie Yen, Gong Li, Jason Scott Lee, Jet Li, and Yoson An are all featured as their respective characters in the marketing campaign.
It is important to note that all characters are holding some type of deadly weapon where Mulan’s reflection can clearly be seen. Is it intended to be a metaphor for Mulan’s personality? Or is it a bit of foreshadowing of what’s to come in the film?
Mulan is the story of a young girl going to war against the evil huns in her sick father’s place in ancient China. The only problem is that women are not allowed in the military. If she is discovered, the penalty is death. She must conceal her identity while trying to save China and her family throughout the film.
