Jodie Whittaker’s portrayal of the the Doctor during her first season on Doctor Who was well received, though the storylines and writing landed with something close to a thud.
Whittaker’s second season kicked off with a two-part season premiere “Spyfall: Part One” and “Spyfall: Part Two” that left Doctor Who fans in shock with the return of the Master (Sasha Dhawan).
But will Whittaker return for a third season? Entertainment Weekly caught up with Whittaker, who revealed she’s sticking around.
“Yes, I’m doing another season,” she confirms. “That might be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to say, but it’s unhelpful for me to say [I don’t know] because it would be a massive lie! [Laughs] I absolutely adore it. At some point, these shoes are going to be handed on, but it’s not yet. I’m clinging on tight!”
