Nicholas Hoult Joins Mission: Impossible Franchise

A former X-men star is now part of a different kind of action film. Nicholas Hoult has officially been cast in the Mission: Impossible franchise per The Hollywood Reporter.

There is no official word on Holt’s character, but there are rumblings he could be the next big bad. This will be change from playing the intelligent yet gritty Beast character from the X-Men movies.

He joins Tom Cruise, Shea Wingham, Hayley Atwell, and Rebecca Ferguson to round out the cast for the next two Mission: Impossible movies. Christopher McQuarrie will direct both the seventh and eighth installments of the series. The films are set to debut in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
