The CW handed out late holiday gifts to 13 current shows in the form of early renewals, the network announced.
The 13 shows renewed for the 2020-2021 season include, All American, Batwoman, Black Lightning, Charmed, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, In the Dark, Legacies, Nancy Drew, Riverdale, Roswell, New Mexico, Supergirl, and The Flash.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, In the Dark, and Roswell, New Mexico must be on the nice list because they were renewed before their 2019-2020 seasons.

The CW also awarded 13 additional script orders for Katy Keene, the Riverdale spin-off, nearly a month before its February 6th debut. A second season renewal for Katy Keene would not be a surprise if it does well.
Renewing nearly its entire slate early is not unusual for the CW. However, seven days into the new year is probably a new record. The network traditionally renews a large number of shows, then later announce final seasons (aka cancelled) during Upfronts (see Arrow and Supernatural). Odds are something is getting cancelled and/or a shortened episode count with DC’s Stargirl awaiting a spring launch, plus potential new Arrowverse series: Superman and Lois, Green Arrow and the Canaries.
