The New Mutants Back From The Dead (Trailer)

It’s been 84 years! Okay, it’s really only been 2 years, but that’s a lifetime in Hollywood. The New Mutants has risen from dead with a brand new trailer! This is the last X-Men film by 20th Century Fox that Disney received in the buyout.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the film’s original release date was April 13, 2018. However, the release of Deadpool caused it to be pushed back. The next delay was due possible reshoots, story tweaking, a new character, and that pesky Disney/Fox acquisition deal.

Nevertheless, The New Mutants has somehow managed to get an official big screen release date of April 3, 2020. The film stars Antonio Banderas, Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams, Stranger Things’ Charlie Heaton and Anya Taylor-Joy as a new class of mutants.

Don’t expect to see Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters in this one! This gang of mutants is centered in a dark universe where the teens are locked away in some kind of mental facility. From the looks of things, death may be the only way out.
