Tom Holland is in high demand these days. The actor’s Spiderman shooting schedule is pushing Sony and Playstation Pictures’ Uncharted to a later release date according to Deadline. Uncharted is based off the popular Playstation third person shooter video game of the same name.
Marvel’s follow up to Spiderman: Far From Home begins production in Summer 2020. Since Holland will also star in Uncharted, along with Mark Wahlberg, there was no time for the film to be ready by its tentatively scheduled late 2020 release. The delay of shooting also caused Uncharted to lose director Travis Knight. Knight made the jump from animation to live action with 2018’s Bumblebee.
No word on when Uncharted will begin production, but the search is on for a new director. Holland and Wahlberg are still attached to the film for the time being.
