Disney Plus finally blew the cap off their Marvel shows in development during the biggest sporting event of the year. The mouse house streaming service aired a Super Bowl commercial featuring Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki.
This is the first official footage anyone has seen of the highly anticipated shows based off the Avengers Infinity Saga characters.
First up, The Falcon and The Winter Solider. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their respective roles from the films in the series. The Falcon can be seen training with Captain America’s shield! Is he getting ready for his new role as Captain America since Steve Rogers passed the torch to him? The Winter Soldier is featured pointing a gun at Captain America: Civil War villain Zemo (Daniel Bruhl).
Flash to Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany). It appears the series will play with time a bit. Wanda and Vision are shown in a black and white 50s setting complete with the costumes and decor. Then, in color in the 60s/70s, and then back to present time. Vision also gives off an odd Leave It To Beaver vibe.
Lastly, the ever clever and dastardly Loki (Tom Hiddleston) of Asgard emerges on screen. Due to Loki stealing back the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame, he’s back in the land of the living. Loki is wearing a jumpsuit in a dark room, and very clearly tells someone he’s going to “burn this place to the ground”. Nice to see not even “death” has changed Loki.
