The news from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness just won’t stop! The sequel to 2016’s Doctor Strange is getting a new writer!

Michael Waldron will be penning the film per The Hollywood Reporter. Waldron is also the head writer for the upcoming Disney Plus series Loki, so he has a bit of background with Marvel. Prior to Marvel, Waldron contributed to the writing staff for Cartoon Network’s animated hit Rick and Morty.

Waldron replaces Jade Bartlett in the writer’s chair. This marks the second huge creative change for the Strange Sequel, and it’s only in pre-production. Previously, director Scott Derrickson left the project due to creative differences.

Hopefully, the film will find a way to settle in and get going. Dr. Steven Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) may need to use the time stone and predict how many ways everyone wins!
