Janina Gavankar Hears the Call of NBC’s Echo

The Morning Show star Janina Gavankar has signed on as the female lead of NBC’s upcoming genre procedural pilot Echo.

According to Deadline, Gavankar will portray a police officer by the name of Mel Goodwin.

“Echo is a high-concept, genre procedural revolving around a team of investigators who solve the highest-profile crimes by sending our heroes into the past — in the body of the victim. They assume the victim’s identity and must race against time to prevent the crime before it happens.”

Gavankar has also starred in Sleepy Hollow, The Vampire Diaries, True Blood and Arrow.
