There is no shortage of rumors when it comes to Warner Bros’ next installment of Suicide Squad. Nathan Fillion sat down with Sirius XM’s Jessica Shaw and put a few of the whispers to bed.
Fillion confirmed he is not playing the Arm-Fall-Off-Boy in the James Gunn led The Suicide Squad. However, Fillion welcomes all the chat behind his possible character in the film. He quips “Yeah, yeah. Go for it! Whatever you guys think is great!” He did warn his character is “secret. It’s so super, duper secret.”
The new Suicide Squad is not a sequel to 2016’s Suicide Squad, but rather a reboot of sorts. Warner Bros. has been very vigilant keeping the plot under wraps. A few of the characters from the previous movie will appear, but there will be several new faces such as Fillion.
Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Taika Waititi, Joel Kinnaman and Viola Davis round out the cast. The Suicide Squad is set to debut in theaters in 2021.
