The Els are gonna need a larger Fortress of Solitude now that Lois and Clark’s sons have been cast. According to Deadline, actors Jordan Elsass (Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere) and Alexander Garfin (The Peanuts Movie) will portray Jonathan and Jordan Kent on the CW’s upcoming series Superman & Lois.
Astute Arrowverse fans will recall that Jonathan Kent appeared onscreen as a baby during “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” In the crossover’s final episode, it was revealed that Lois and Clark had TWO sons! When the universe reset perhaps Jonathan was split in two, a nod to the old Superman Red/Superman Blue comic book storyline.
In another super twist, the actors cast as Lois and Clark’s sons are definitely not toddlers. Could this be the result of Kryptonite or a time jump? Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome (SORAS) is not a new concept for Jonathan. Comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis aged Jonathan in the pages of Superman so the character could star in a new Legion of Super-Heroes title.
