Doctor Who Returns in Late 2020 With Holiday Special

Clutching your sonic screwdriver wondering what will happen to the Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) after Series 12’s finale, The Timeless Children? The BBC revealed Doctor Who will return for a festive one-off between Christmas 2020 and New Year’s Day 2021.

You would think the Doctor would be entitled to a relaxing holiday season after learning her true origin, uncovering even more secret regenerations, and barely surviving the Master (Sacha Dhawan) along with a phalanx of Cybermen. Let’s not forget the Doctor being imprisoned in the season finale’s closing minute. Instead, the Doctor faces another classic foe in Revolution of the Daleks.

The holiday episode will also star Graham (Bradley Walsh), Ryan (Tosin Cole), and Yaz (Mandip Gill). The trio became separated from the Doctor after being sent back to 21st Century Earth in an abandoned TARDIS. Perhaps this new TARDIS will assist with the Doctor escape the Judoon prison.
