Rosario Dawson Cast as Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian

The Force is strong in this casting! Rosario Dawson has officially been cast as Jedi padawan Ahsoka Tano on The Mandalorian season 2 per slashfilm.com.

The character Ahsoka has not been seen in any live action incarnation yet, so this is huge. Ahsoka portrays Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi Padawan in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. She is an incredibly complex character who knows how to handle her double sided light saber. Ahsoka was also one of the Jedi voices Rey hears in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Dawson is a superhero series and sci-fi film veteran actor. Her portrayal of Claire Temple on Netflix’s Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones was met with critical and fan acclaim. She also starred in 2002’s Men in Black II. The actress expressed interest in playing Ahsoka in a 2017 tweet. Dawson should have no trouble bringing Ahsoka to reel life!

No word on where or how Ahsoka Tano will fit into The Mandalorian season 2, but we will absolutely be watching!
