A reboot of a 90’s slasher classic is shaping up nicely. Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet are officially directing the Scream reboot per The Hollywood Reporter.

The two directors were the masterminds behind Ready or Not. They are also part of the entity, along with Chad Villela, known as Radio Silence. Villela will serve as a producer of the new Scream.

The original 1996 Scream brought the horror/slasher genre back from the dead. Directed by Wes Craven, the film is the reason for wide spread caller ID. Starring Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courtney Cox, and Matthew Lillard the film spawned 4 sequels.

Spyglass Media is the studio behind the reboot. No word on the plot or a release date yet. However, it’s a fact that Ghostface will be back.
