Netflix is dropping the ax on two one season shows. V Wars and October Faction have both been canceled by the streaming service per The Hollywood Reporter.

Both shows were produced by IDW Entertainment and based on comics. V Wars hit Netflix on Dec 23rd, 019, while October Faction dropped on January 23, 2020. These are relatively quick cancellations for Netflix shows.

V Wars follows the story of Dr. Luther Swann (Ian Somerhalder), and his journey in a world full of vampires. When his best friend, Michael Fayne (Adrian Holmes), becomes ill and begins to feed on other humans, Dr. Swann makes it his mission to understand what’s going on and possibly help the world. Fayne eventually comes the head vampire.

October Faction is about monster hunting couple Fred (J.C. MacKenzie) and Deloris Allen (Tamara Taylor). After the death of Fred’s father Samuel (Stephen McHattie), they return to their hometown in upstate New York with their teenage children Geoff (Gabriel Darku) and Viv (Aurora Burghart). Fred and Deloris quickly realize their hometown isn’t as peaceful as they thought, and they must hide their true identities as members of a secret organization.

Netflix has historically made their renewal and cancellation decisions based on their own internal data.
