Don’t even think about saying Candyman 5 times! Universal Pictures has moved horror film Candyman to September 25, per Variety!
Jordan Peele is producing the film, and Nia DaCosta sits in the director’s chair! The movie is a sequel of sorts to the original 1992 film of the same name. The Candyman and his hook hand still only appear once his name is uttered 5 times.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Anthony McCoy, an artist who happens to use the Candyman as his newest muse. Naturally, things go terribly awry, and the Candyman eventually appears to wreak havoc on his old stomping grounds.

The film’s move to September is due to the Coronavirus closing theaters. Hopefully, the move will allow the Candyman to continue to scare a whole new generation of people.
