Shhhh! Sony Working on a Secret Marvel Movie!

It seems Sony is attempting to dive deeper into the Marvel game. Sony is planning a new female centric Marvel movie, per Variety!

Director S.J. Clarkson is already attached to the project! She will choose which Marvel character will be the next to get the movie treatment. Rumor has it Sony is looking at a character from the Madame Web comic book.

Madame Web is an elderly woman with myasthenia gravis, which causes her to be on a life support system that resembles a spider web. Due to her age and medical condition, Madame Web never actively fights any villains. It’s possible Sony is looking for an A-list actor to star as the title character. Charlize Theron and Amy Adams are currently names on the list. However, Madame Web’s ailments may cause Sony to look in another direction for a feature character.

Director Clarkson is very familiar with the Marvel world. She directed several episodes of Netflix’s Jessica Jones. Only time will tell if she will be able to bring the Marvel blockbuster Sony needs to life.
