The Umbrella Academy Returns July 31!

A group of young people with super powers are ready to return to the fight. Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy season 2 will debut on July 31!

The streaming service released a video announcing the good news today. The video features several cast members dancing to 80’s classic “I Think We’re Alone Now” by Tiffany at home. The end shows Justin H. Min (Ben) holding a poster with a 2 under an umbrella and the release date.

The Umbrella Academy is the television adaption of the comic book of the same name by Gerard Way. The story follows the strange events of 1989, when 43 infants were born on the same day to random women who were not pregnant the day before birth. A billionaire adopts seven of the babies, and creates The Umbrella Academy. The purpose is to prepare each child to save the world. The billionaire and one child is later murdered. The six remaining children must figure out who killed their father and save the world from certain destruction.

Ellen Page as Vanya, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison, Justin H. Min as Ben, Tom Hopper as Luther, Aidan Gallagher as Number Five, David Castañeda as Diego, and Robert Sheehan as Klaus are all returning in season 2. A few faces to the cast include Yusuf Gatewood as Raymond, Ritu Arya as Lila, and Marin Ireland as Sissy.
