Brainbox Sci-Fi Series in Development at Hulu

Hulu is diving deeper into the world of Science Fiction. A new series, Brainbox, is currently in development at the Disney streamer, per Deadline.

Brainbox‘s plot will draw from its source material, a short story from Christian Cantrell. A climate engineering experiment goes awry, and sends the Earth into a new and sudden ice age. The world’s remaining powerful nations will battle for the last few inhabitable places for humans near the equator. Naturally, the nations betray one another, and things look bleak. Soon, a young weapons specialist will create a revolutionary, self-replicating, artificial intelligence army that will prove to be a game changer for what is left of society.

The Terror creator Dave Kajganich will serve as showrunner. Warren Littlefield will executive produce the series under his Littlefield Company banner. The project is a joint venture between Hulu and Fox 21 Television Studios.
