
Disney is clearly all in with Star Wars! A new animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch will air on Disney Plus in 2021, according to Deadline!
The newest edition to the Star Wars franchise will focus on the the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch from The Clone Wars. The clones will explore the every changing galaxy after the big war. The Bad Batch each have one exceptional skill which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. They will take on daring mercenary missions, as they attempt to stay afloat and find new purpose.
The Clone Wars director Dave Filoni will be the executive producer for The Bad Batch. Jennifer Corbett will also EP and head write the series. Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, and Josh Rimes will also co-executive produce the show.
Agnes Chu, senior vice president, Content, for Disney Plus spoke on the new series. She expresses, “While the Clone Wars may have come to its conclusion, our partnership with the groundbreaking storytellers and artists at Lucasfilm Animation is only beginning. We are thrilled to bring Dave Filoni’s vision to life through the next adventures of the Bad Batch.”
