Something mysterious as the dark side the moon is happening at Disney! The live action Mulan is officially off the Disney theatrical release calendar, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The highly anticipated film has been rescheduled several times due to the Coronavirus pandemic shuttering theaters. The most recent August 21 release date is officially a thing of the past. Disney is currently re-evaluating the film’s entire roll out.

A Disney’s spokesperson states “Over the last few months, it’s become clear that nothing can be set in stone when it comes to how we release films during this global health crisis, and today that means pausing our release plans for Mulan as we assess how we can most effectively bring this film to audiences around the world.”

While Mulan is the only film removed from the list, several others were pushed by at least one year. All upcoming Star Wars and Avatar films fit into the latter criteria.

What do you think of Mulan’s unknown fate?
