Disappointing news coming out of the Marvel camp today. The highly anticipated The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Disney Plus television series will not premiere in August, according to Deadline.

Unfortunately, the show suffered several from production hang ups. First, a earthquake in Puerto Rico temporarily halted filming for two weeks. Then, the Coronavirus pandemic took over. These major problems are the main cause of the push of the premiere.

Disney Plus has yet to announce a new debut date for the series, which will be an extension of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan return as Sam Wilson/Falcon and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier respectively. In order to survive, the unlikely duo must team up for a global adventure without killing each other and saving the world.

The series also stars Emily Van Camp, Carl Lumbly, Wyatt Russell, Miki Ishikawa, Daniel Brühl, Noah Mills, and Desmond Chiam. Kari Skogland occupies the director’s chair, and Malcolm Spellman serves as head writer.

The other two Marvel TV series WandaVision and Loki are still on track for their 2020 and 2021 release dates.
