Hawkeye Series Finds Directors

Marvel’s upcoming Disney Plus series is really coming together. Bert and Bertie will direct several episodes of the Hawkeye stand alone series, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Bert and Bertie are actually Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood. The duo most recently helmed Amazon’s Troop Zero comedy film featuring Viola Davis and Allison Janey.  In addition,  Rhys Thomas will direct a few episodes of the series as well.

Hawkeye will be the fourth Marvel show to hit Disney plus behind The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki. Jeremy Renner will return as Clint Barton/Hawkeye from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hawkeye will train young Kate Bishop on the art of archery while defending the world. Hailee Steinfeld was previously in negotiations for the role.

Jonathan Igla will pen the series. No word on when the series will debut as it is still in the early production phase. Are you excited for Hawkeye?
