The Mandalorian and Watchmen Score Emmy Nominations!

It’s been a day for the books for geek culture at the Primetime Emmy Nominations! Both HBO’s Watchmen and Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian set Emmy nomination records!

HBO’s Watchmen holds the distinction of taking away 26 nominations. It is the most of any program! In the major categories, the show is up for Best Limited Series, Lead Actor/Actress, Supporting Actor/Actress in a Limited Drama Series. Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jean Smart, Jovan Adepo, and Louis Gossett Jr. all made the cut for the acting categories.

Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian broke the record for new streaming service nominations at 15! The series earned nominations for Best Drama Series, Best Cinematography, Best Guest Actor, and Best Production Design! Giancarlo Esposito is the lone acting nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama.

Netflix’s Stranger Things, HBO’s Westworld, Fox’s The Simpsons, Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty all took away nominations today. Check out the full list here!
