This is news sure to leave fan boys and girls salivating for more. Zack Snyder drops more details on the hype beast known as Justice League: The Snyder Cut, per The Hollywood Reporter.
For anyone that’s been living under a rock, there is a completely different cut of 2017’s Justice League known as The Snyder Cut. Synder was the original director for the film, but had to drop out due to a family emergency. Joss Whedon took his place, and the final theatrical cut ended up being somewhat of a disappointment. After years of clamoring, The Snyder Cut will finally debut on HBO Max in 2021.
Zack Snyder is being extremely generous and giving everyone more details of the film. During a Justice Con panel, he reveals full runtime would be over 214 minutes. That’s a little over 3 and a half hours! He did admit he wasn’t sure if his version of Justice League would air as a film or a mini series. He also confirms the HBO Max cut will feature a complete score from Junkie XL.
There have been rumors of Snyder possibly using footage from Whedon’s Justice League. Snyder kicked those whispers to the curb during the interview. He states “I would set the movie on fire, I’d destroy it before I used a single frame that I did not photograph.” He has never seen the theatrical cut, and never will.
Lastly, Snyder informs everyone the official title and first trailer for The Synder Cut will premiere next month at DC Fandome!
