Netflix’s outrageous docuseries Tiger King continues its hold on the pop culture world. Kate McKinnon is set to star in a Joe Exotic NBCUniversal series per The Hollywood Reporter.

McKinnon will portray Exotic’s arch nemesis Carole Baskin. The series will focus on Baskin discovering Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel breeds his big cats for profit. As a fellow big cat lover, she cannot allow this to stand. Her sole mission is to shut his operation down. However, the antics between the rivals gets out of control!

Carole’s less than stellar past is revealed and Joe runs with the information to expose her hypocrisy. The outcome of Carole vs. Joe is nothing but ugly. The series takes its lead from the Wondery Podcast of the same name.

At this time, the project will be a limited series. Etan Frankel will pen the series. McKinnon will serve as executive producer along with Frankel, Aaron Hart, Wondery’s Hernan Lopez and Marshall Lewy.

This is the second Tiger King centric project. Another from CBS Television Studios will star Nicolas Cage as Joe Exotic.
