Netflix Drops Enola Holmes Teaser With a Mystery to Solve

Netflix loves itself some Millie Bobby Brown. Why wouldn’t they? She portrays the iconic Eleven in its blockbuster hit series Stranger Things.

Now the streaming giant has released a teaser for her upcoming British movie Enola Holmes.

Based on a book series by the same name from author Nancy Springer, Enola Holmes follows the fourteen-year old character by the same name and younger sister of the infinitely famous Sherlock Holmes.

In the books, Enola’s mother disappears and when her older brothers want to ship her off to finishing school, she discovers a cypher left by her mother to hidden funds and she runs off to London. In the British capital she becomes a private detective specializing in finding missing persons.

In the movie, “when Enola Holmes-Sherlock’s teen sister-discovers her mother missing, she sets off to find her, becoming a super-sleuth in her own right as she outwits her famous brother and unravels a dangerous conspiracy around a mysterious young Lord.”

Superman star Henry Cavill and Peaky Blinders Sam Claflin portray her older brothers Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes. Harry Potter and The Crown actress Helena Bonham Carter portrays Enola’s missing mother Mrs. Eudoria Holmes.

However, it wasn’t just her mother’s cypher that provided a mystery. The teaser Netflix dropped featured an anagram of its own! The Twitter gibberish revealed Enola Homes premieres on September 23!

The film is a Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. production.
