Warrior Nun premiered in July and Netflix already wants a second season.

The streaming giant has renewed the series based on manga novels.

Warrior Nun is about “a 19-year-old woman, Ava (Alba Baptista), who wakes up in a morgue with a new lease on life and a divine artifact embedded in her back. She discovers she now is part of an ancient order that has been tasked with fighting demons on Earth, and powerful forces representing both heaven and hell want to find and control her.”

Tonya Turner portrays Shotgun Mary, Kristina Tonteri-Young plays Sister Beatrice, Lorena Andrea is Sister Lilith and Tristán Ulloa is Father Vincent.

The series is created and executive produced by Simon Barry, who long-time Syfy channel viewers may recognize from his show on that cable network, Continuum.
