We are on pins and needles waiting for Wonder Woman 1984.

After the fantastic first movie, expectations are high for the second Wonder Woman film and Patty Jenkins is doing her part to keep fan interest high.  The director took to social media, releasing a new poster on Twitter, teasing: “many fun things ahead!”

The film has had a number of release dates. It was originally scheduled for December 13, 2019 before being moved up to November 1, 2019. It was then pushed back to June 5, but due to COVID was delayed to August 14 before being delated again to October 2.

So what do we know about the film starring one of DC Comic’s Big Three? Mashable has a comprehensive overview of the film. In it, the character motivation of Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is revealed.

But it’s not an entirely happy life, either. “She’s very lonely,” star Gal Gadot reveals. “She’s super sweet and nice and has goodwill toward anyone she comes across, but she doesn’t want to get hurt, she doesn’t want to hurt anyone, ‘cause then she’ll have to disappear. Or they’ll stay friends but she will never grow old, and that will be quite weird.”

“The world’s whirling around her as people are chasing after wealth and power and happiness,” Obropta says. Diana may be living in our world, but she doesn’t always feel like a part of it.

Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor, who fans saw die in 2017’s Wonder Woman. Game of Thrones’ Pedro Pascal portrays Max Lord while Kristen Wiig plays Cheetah (Barbara Minerva).
