Algee Smith Joins Mother/Android Film

An up and coming actor lands a big role in the next sci-fi thriller. Euphoria’s Algee Smith joins the cast of Mother/Android, according to Deadline.

Smith will portray Sam opposite Chloe Grace Moretz’s Georgia. Sam and Georgia are a couple are expecting, but a war with artificial intelligence erupts before their child’s birth. The duo must attempt to escape their war torn country through No Man’s Land. This is the one place where android’s are King! Will they make it before the baby arrives?

Netflix’s Project Power screenwriter Mattson Tomlin will direct the film. It is Tomlin’s feature film debut. Matt Reeves will serve as producer. Miramax is the studio behind the project.

The film is currently in pre-production. Smith is quite busy as Euphoria is back to filming for Season 2!
