From superheroes to science fiction, this writer is killing the game. Black Panther’s Christopher Priest will pen new sci-fi comic Entropy, per The Hollywood Reporter.
The series will follow the story of Henry Hanks. He’s a “likable, average everyman who will become responsible for destroying the world.” He is under the spell of Kako, a virtually unstoppable force that exists throughout the multiverse. Hanks vows to rid the world Kako by any means necessary.
Priest is working closely with Heavy Metal to ensure the project comes to life. He reveals “I’m really jazzed about working for Heavy Metal, a prestige imprint many of us lowly superhero creators could only aspire to someday graduate to. Joining the same creative environment as Moebius, Corben, Wrightson, Eastman, Suydam, Goodwin, Steranko, and so many others feels a lot like being handed the keys to dad’s shiny new Bugatti. Exciting, nerve-wracking. Bye-bye driver’s license.”
Priest’s prestigious background includes beginning at Marvel in the 1970’s, then moving to DC and Valiant in the later years. Look for Entropy to hit comic stands in early 2021.
