The world of corrupt superheros just got a little bigger. A spinoff of Amazon’s The Boys is currently in the works, according to Variety!
The new series will feature a college exclusively for young adult supes run by Voight International. It’s going to be “part college show, part Hunger Games.” The Boys style of humor, heart, and pure filth will be fully intact.
Amazon is pushing to have the new series in full swing quickly. The streamer is looking to capitalize on the popularity of The Boys, especially with Season 2 firing on all cylinders. The Season 2 premiere is Amazon’s most watched original series premiere ever!
Craig Rosenberg will serve as Showrunner and executive producer. Additionally, he will pen the spinoff pilot. The creators of the comic book source material Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson will executive produce as well. The Boys EP’s, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, will have the same capacity in the new series.
In the meantime, The Boys Season 2 finale airs October 9.
