Chucky Series Production Moves to 2021

The evil doll lives on to terrorize next year! Deadline breaks the upcoming Chucky television show moves its production schedule to 2021!

The USA/SyFy series is based on the Child’s Play movies featuring a doll possessed with the spirit of killer Charles Lee Ray. This time, Chucky is sold at a suburban garage sale, and all hell breaks loose. Production should have began this fall in Toronto, but the Coronavirus pandemic put a stop to everything. Now, production will start some time in 2021.

Brad Dourif will return as the voice of Chucky! He is the only voice of Chucky since the original in 1988. Also, Jennifer Tilly, who appears in several Chucky sequels, will be in the series!

The movie creator Don Mancini will serve as showrunner. Nick Antosca will help Mancini pen the series. Mancini and Antosca will co-executive produce the show with Hocus Pocus’ David Kirschner and Harley Peyton.

The series is still on track for a 2021 debut, but things can always change.
