The force is with Ewan McGregor.

ET Online caught up with McGregor as he promoted his Apple TV Plus series Long Way Up. During the interview McGregor spilled some tea on the long awaited and highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series coming to Disney Plus.

He revealed that Obi-Wan production will begin in the spring of 2021.

“Spring next year we start,” he revealed of production plans. “I’m really excited about it. It’s gonna be great, I think.”

He also shared that it will be a standalone single season.

“As I understand, it’s a standalone season,” he said. “We’ll see. Who knows?”

In January, development of the Star Wars based series was delayed.
