Michael Myers is back just in time for spooky season! Variety reports John Carpenter’s original Halloween, Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 are all set to return to theaters!
The classic slasher films will not only hit traditional theaters, but drive-ins as well. Over 225 screens will show the films in their entirety in over 24 different markets all over the U.S.
The idea came about from a partnership between CineLife Entertainment, Compass International Pictures and Trancas International Films. Ryan Freimann, senior vice president of Trancas and Compass, speaks on the importance of brining the films back! “We are so excited to be bringing these films back, especially to drive-ins across the country where this iconic franchise launched. Now, with the fall season growing closer, the drive-in format is helping keep both Halloween spirit and the cinema experience alive in these unprecedented times.”
It will be refreshing to revisit the films before the newest installments debut with more scares. Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as the one and only Laurie Strode in Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends on Oct. 15, 2021 and Oct. 14, 2022 respectively.
